Stephanie Beaton's Bio

I was born in the very small town of Alliance, Ohio. I had a very unusual childhood. Well, maybe to some. I was always fascinated with horror. I was watching horror films at age four, both classic and new at the time. So growing up I loved the B-movie/horror genre. I had always dreamed of becoming an actress and doing horror films. But being in Ohio there never seemed to be a chance of that happening. So I decided to become a veterinarian. At the age of fourteen, in 1986, I moved to California! This is where I started to make my dream of becoming an actress a reality and started to do something about it. I attended high school in Oxnard, was in the "Who's Who of American High School Students" for two years in a row, and graduated with high honors. In high school, I began to take drama classes and in college, I majored in Dramatic Arts. After graduation, I took some professional classes to perfect my craft. I did the whole bit...cold reading, scene study, etc. However, I soon began to realize that until I would move to Los Angeles, things were just not going to happen!

So in 1992, I moved to LA! I then studied many different techniques with several different coaches, and in 1995, I landed my first role in a film titled UNNATURALLY BORN KILLER. I played the part of Jennifer Cartwright and it was there that my status began as a "Scream Queen"!!!! From 1995 to 1996, I worked in some music videos, including Joykiller's GO BANG and Prime Evil's GHASTLY BEAST. After that, I returned to films such as TEEN WITCH and MONOPOLY. I also did two NBC movies, SHATTERED MIND starring Heather Locklear and THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS. When not working on movies, I worked in some commercials. The end of 1996 to the present has been my busiest time ever! I filmed WITCHCRAFT 9: BITTER FLESH in which I played Detective Lutz. I also shot a video for PENTHOUSE magazine tilted THE PENTHOUSE VARIETY SHOW. In the fall I began shooting THE ZOMBIE NINJA. In 1997, I did a film for Showtime titled A MID CYBER'S NIGHT'S DREAM where I played a Swedish maid. Even though this film and the films for NBC and the music videos took me away from the Scream Queen title, I was brought back through WITCHCRAFT and ZOMBIE NINJA and more films that were to come. In the late summer of 1997, I flew to Minneapolis to shoot three films for Nightmare Productions. They were TWILIGHT, TALES FROM THE CANNIBAL SIDE, and a cameo in DYING TO MEET YOU. Then, in October, I flew to London to reprise my role as Detective Lutz in WITCHCRAFT 10: MISTRESS OF THE CRAFT. 1998 was a very slow year for me. I just did interviews and articles for magazines. But in October I played a female Terminator in A PASSION TO KILL.

In 1999, I completed 6 more films. In February, I flew to the windy city, Chicago, to shoot HEADCRUSHER and back here in Los Angeles I filmed, EYES OF A WEREWOLF, which was in 3-D. In May, I was back once again as Detective Lutz in WITCHCRAFT 11, BLOOD SISTERS. This time, tougher then ever! In August, I filmed, V-WORLD MATRIX, yet another 3-D film. In September, I filmed OPEN WIDE, which went to the Sundance Film Festival. In October, I flew to Oregon to shoot, THE EVILMAKER. This year was one of the best years ever for acting and being part of many, many things. I did several radio interviews. One in March for KONA Radio in Washington and another for 97.1 TALK RADIO after Howard Stern in August. I also began writing a monthly column for a magazine titled, "Autograph News magazine". I wrote articles on several directors, producers, and actors as well as my Q@A column. In 2000, this year was kinda slow. Films that were scheduled fell apart, my film I was producing was put on hold. My TV show, "BLACKIE'S WIDOW", that my great friend Ron Ford and I put together, fell thru. It was supposed to air on the B-Movie Channel (BMC) but never made it. The B-Movie Channel closed its doors. At the end of the year 2000, things began to pick up again. In October, I was the lead in a film, THE PASSION NETWORK for USA Network. 2001 however, has been a very busy year for me. In February, I flew to Dallas, Texas to do a modeling photo shoot. In March, I flew up to Oakland, CA to shoot the science fiction comedy, BIKINI PLANET. In April, I did a guest starring role in the film, MARILEE. Also in April, I did a full modeling lay out for the LAND OF WONDER JEWELRY CATALOG. I then flew out to Cleveland, Ohio to make an appearance at the Frightvision Convention. Then I flew out to Minneapolis, Minnesota to shoot, TORTURED SOUL 3, THE WILLING FLESH. As for the rest of 2001, I did re-start my production company, "Silver Moon Productions" back up again. I now produce and direct my own films. All types from low budget "B" films to "A" list productions. In December, 2001, I produced my first film, THE BAGMAN. This was a great learning experience for me. All I can say is I really am glad that I had the worst that can happen when making a movie straight out of the gate cause it was the biggest training ground ever! In January of 2002, I starred in Ron Ford's,. THE CRAWLING BRAIN. I also launched the premiere of BIKINI PLANET at the Beverly Garland Hotel for the Hollywood Celebrity's Collectors's Show. In March 2002, I had the premiere for THE BAGMAN at the Monster's Among Us Show. We had over 300 people attend and I brought the cast and crew in 3 hearses. Two black, one pink. It was amazing. Also in March of 2002, I did a cameo appearance in BLOOD GNOME. In May/June of 2002, I produced and directed, EVIL IN THE BAYOU. That was a wonderful film to work on. In September of 2002, I directed, produced and acted in, for someone else, BLOODY BENDER'S RETURN. In October, I began shooting my third film from my company, TALES FROM THE GRAVE. Joe Estevez stars in one of my shorts for this anthology film. There's 4 stories all toll. In January 2003, I premiered EVIL IN THE BAYOU again at the Monsters Among Us Show. There were 200 people who attended the event. In February, 2003, I starred in DANCING ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. In April of 2003, I flew off to Ohio to shoot SLICE N' DICE. Also in 2003, I did a featured role in HBO'S CARNIVALE. I then made an appearance on NBC'S THE MENTALIST. In November of 2003, I went to Las Vegas to appear at the Las Vegas Comic Con.

For 2004, it looks interesting so far. I have a film this January I am starring in and I am doing all the special effects, for the film BEAST. Not sure of a few other productions as of yet as they are up in the air, pending, but I certainly have a few irons in the fire. There are a few conventions and appearances I will be making. I think 2004 will be one of the most interesting of all years yet. I plan on producing and directing a few more films thru my company and putting SILVER MOON PRODUCTIONS on the map.

When I am not working on films, I like to sketch. But I love to go out dancing.. (All types of music I like., Techno, rock, hip hop, blues, you name it). My favorite drink is "The Pink Squirrel"!!! I love doing things, amusement parks, sports, traveling and I'm VERY romantic. So I LOVE red roses, dinners, candlelight and wine! I'm somewhat old fashioned as well. I am very sentimental. I DO believe in love at first sight!!! I love to spend time at home curled up watching a movie. I have two cats named Lucifer (aka Jack Rabbit Slims) and Damian! He does film and commercials as well. I love to spend time with them!!!!!
